Just a quick train ride from Manhattan, the Brooklyn Flea and Smorgasburg market is a must-do if you’re visiting during the holidays. Located at 25 Kent Avenue, this winter market boasts shopping and eating to keep you busy all day long! Brooklyn Flea will host over sixty vendors selling things from vintage clothing, furniture, collectibles, art, and so mich more! All that shopping works up quite the appetite, which is why when hunger strikes you can eat your way through Smorgasburg with over fifteen vendors, you can have whatever your heart desires! Did we mention, the market is all indoors, meaning you can come inside and do some browsing while you thaw those frozen hands.
You guessed it, as the name suggests, more holiday lights! Randalls Island is home to a gigantic immersive lights festival which is sure to excite even the most scrooge-like of holiday goers. The 12- acres of land is home to huge LED art pieces, illuminated castles, a Candy Land themed portion of the park, and even a giant glowing donut tunnel. You can also expect to see a mushroom forest, several LED animal sculptures and even a glowing unicorn. Have those cameras ready to capture this magical event!
Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show
Obsessed with furry four-legged friends? Grab a ticket to the annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show to swoon at over 3,000 dogs representing the best of the best of their breed. At the show you will see all of these pooches get pampered, primped and compete for the best of show. At the show you’ll be able to get that puppy fix you’ve been craving and even see some new breeds you didn’t even know existed! Interested in behind the scenes action? Your ticket also gets you access to see the pooches get in show ready shape backstage! This year’s show is being held on February 11th and 12th, at Madison Square Garden and Piers 92/94.
