Halloween in East Midtown is back for its 11th year, and Concorde Hotel New York is thrilled to join the celebration once again. Each October, our neighborhood transforms into a festive playground filled with costumed families, glowing pumpkins, and the kind of community spirit that makes New York such a special place to call home.

Over the past decade, the East Midtown Partnership has welcomed tens of thousands of families to this event, which continues to be named one of the city’s best Halloween experiences for families and one of the top neighborhoods for trick-or-treating. For us at Concorde Hotel, it’s not just about the holiday; it’s about tradition, togetherness, and being part of something that brings joy to locals and visitors alike.

A Neighborhood Full of Festivities

This year’s Halloween in East Midtown promises a full day of fun. Families are invited to:

  • Snap a photo with the Maniac Pumpkin jack-o-lantern display at 919 3rd Avenue, where incredible pumpkin carvings turn ordinary gourds into pieces of art.

  • Paint a spooky pumpkin at Sunrise at East 56th (139 East 56th Street), a creative way for kids to make their own Halloween masterpiece.

  • Trick-or-treat through the neighborhood, stopping by participating businesses for candy and surprises along the way.

The East Midtown Partnership’s Halloween Map makes it easy to plan your route. You can find it here, along with all participating locations and event details.

Our Concorde Connection

As part of the East Midtown community, Concorde Hotel has always believed in supporting local initiatives that bring people together. Our team loves seeing families dressed up, laughter echoing through the streets, and neighbors connecting over shared traditions. For guests staying with us during Halloween, it’s the perfect opportunity to step outside and experience an authentic slice of New York neighborhood life.

Our central location makes it easy to join the fun. After trick-or-treating, families can unwind in the comfort of our rooms and suites or explore the nearby dining spots for a cozy fall meal. It’s a perfect mix of celebration and relaxation.

Tips for a Spooktacular Day

Planning to celebrate Halloween in East Midtown this year? Here are a few helpful tips from the Concorde team:

  • Start early. The event draws many families, so arriving early ensures you get the best photos and candy stops.

  • Bring a reusable bag. Trick-or-treating in New York means plenty of sweets—be ready to carry your haul!

  • Wear comfortable shoes. East Midtown’s streets are best enjoyed on foot, especially when hopping between stops on the Halloween Map.

  • Stay hydrated and snack smart. With all the excitement (and sugar), it’s easy to forget the basics. Bring a water bottle and some light snacks for the kids.

  • Capture the memories. Between the Maniac Pumpkin display and all the festive decorations, there are plenty of photo-worthy moments.
